Stripe has recently announced changes to their Billing plans, consolidating their Starter and higher-tier plans into a single plan with a 0.7% fee on subscription transactions starting next year. This change affects all WP Simple Pay sites using the Plus license’s subscription functionality with Stripe Billing. Previously, the Starter plan had a 0.5% fee, and the higher plan had a 0.9% fee.
There has been some confusion among customers regarding whether upgrading WP Simple Pay will negate this fee. It is important to clarify that these fees are imposed directly by Stripe for subscriptions and are not affected by WP Simple Pay

We understand there may be some confusion about whether your WP Simple Pay license key will affect the subscription fee charged by Stripe. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The fee charged for the Billing plan within Stripe is collected directly by Stripe and is not influenced by your WP Simple Pay plan.
Note: Stripe Billing fees only apply to automatically recurring Subscriptions created with a Plus license or higher.
