WP Simple Pay does not provide functionality to start a download automatically after a payment is complete. You must add a link to the download you want to deliver in the payment confirmation page or email receipt message.
We also do not protect download files. If the purchaser shares the link, the file will not be protected. If that is required, I always mention EDD.
